Grooming tools are mostly needed for the more advanced courses like the Intermediate Dog Grooming Course and The Professional Dog Grooming Course.

Students will gain practical grooming skills by completing their practical assignments. Our practical assignments can vary from completing case study questionnaires to recording grooming demonstrations. Once submitted our grooming tutors will view and grade the practical assignments. Students must have 75% to pass the practical section of our courses.

Our courses do not have a fixed completion timeline, allowing students to progress at their own pace. Completion times vary among students. Certain courses entail a greater number of practical grooming assignments that need to be recorded, potentially extending the completion duration. Ultimately, the time it takes to finish a course is contingent upon each student's individual abilities and dedication.

Once you have completed the course and submitted your assignments you will receive your Professional Dog Grooming Certificate within 14 days if you have passed.

It is highly recommended that students pursue internships at grooming salons while completing the course. It is also recommended that students inquire with local groomers or grooming salons about the possibility of renting space in their facilities to complete their final practical assignments. These assignments require specialized equipment such as a bathing area, high-velocity dryer, dog clipper, blades, and scissors, which can be costly to purchase. Renting space at a grooming salon can save the student money while also providing the opportunity for future internships or even employment.
